Okay...so it's been a little while...a LOOOONG while since I have attempted to blog. Still being inspired by my BFF Eliza, I decided to try my hand at blogging at least one time this year.

So this is what my

children and their friends do to keep themselves entertained. (They look up cheats on the computer so they can win the WallE game.) Jared and Alli have it all figured out or so they let me know when they won the WallE game! They were so excited they know all the ins and outs of this game. Come to find out after a little spy work...Jared busted out the laptop and was calling out cheat codes for Alli to enter in on the game so they could boost their winning streak by a large margin.

Leave it to the younger generation to outsmart us...(technilogically speaking)!

The Night We Cried At Subway

Twas the night of the Ward Campout and all through the MacMomma's mind were thoughts of what to do for our special CampNite meal. Perhaps a hobo dinner, a hot dog or two, PBJ's or cookies, just a few. But the MacMomma being worn from the long days' events and great anticipation for the upcoming Campout had a better idea. "We'll stop at Subway on the way there," she thought. So off they went the Mac Fam down the road all deciding what kind of footlong to have in their hands. At last we arrive a short trip from home, we all unpile from the car, and go inside. Everyone must have had the same hunger pangs because there was a long line. As we're waiting, I get the sudden feeling I have soap in my eyes. They start stinging, and burning, and welling up with tears. And not because I was sad to be there either. I look over and my hubby looks like he's getting ready to cry. Now if any of you know Dave, he's too manly to cry. His eyes are weepy and he's laughing not understanding why he's crying. I look over and Allison my 8 yr old daughter is crying saying that her eyes hurt. Brandon is trying to ignore the runny eyes because its his turn to order his sandwich. The server behind the counter finally reveals that she had just cut a bunch of onions and all the ceiling fans in the restaurant were going full blast. The onion vapors were everywhere. They were so strong! So we all stayed and cried as we ordered our sandwiches and waited for them to be prepared. Finally they were done and we rushed outta there. Instant relief. At least we cleared our eyes before we got on the road.

Indeed this describes the whimsical group of 3-5 year olds that I so lovingly teach music to once a week! And each and every week they produce such pure and glorious sounds. Almost effortlessly as their little voices soar so sweetly through the air. Some nights it makes me feel so confident about my teaching skills. Until tonight that is. I thought I was teaching something along the lines of...Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti Do. When what to my wondering ears should appear butt the sound of something that would grossly adhere in the air all around till not one note without choke would sound. It sounded more like Do Re Mi Pffftt Sol... And one gascious note right after another round the circle they went. Keeping time with the heat, not skipping a beat. So proud with their harmonious emergence of sound. It was quite the musical night indeed...One that my nose hopes it soon will forget.

Yes, Halloween is great. Allison and Brandon have sooo much candy now. We had an awesome time at the Ward Trunk or Treat. Who didn't? There were Hot Dogs, Cotton Candy, Scones, and way too much candy. What an awesome Ward we have.

Heroes...what a show!
Heroes has become my favorite prime time show of all times. It is a nice treat after FHE and after the kids have gone to bed. So, bring out the popcorn, it's date night too! I am soooo.....SAD that my favorite HERO; Peter Petrelli has lost all of his powers (or so we believe):( And which side of the fence post does Syler sit on? Is he good, is he bad? I think he is as confused as I am.
.........please NBC don't turn all of my favorite HEROES into VILLIANS..!!
